I've been busy!

Well, my success at Try Stampin' on Tuesday has really inspired me to design this week.  Mainly colour challenges - and they really have been challenges for me!  I find it difficult to combine several strong colours, but I've persevered.

I've also discovered how to put links in to the challenges at the side of my blog - instead of having to do it for each entry.  Yay!!!

Here are my efforts:

Nacho Averages required Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point and Rose Red I started with a sponged background using the first two colours then stamped some images from By The Tide.  The muted effect for the Pacific Point images came about by accident.  The ink was too wet on the gloss paper so I tried to remove it with a sponge and it became muted - love the effect.

Pals Paper Arts needed Basic Grey, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party.

Color Throwdown's choices were Strawberry Slush (one of my favourites), Tempting Turquoise (which I haven't really used before but will have to get the inkpad now) and Very Vanilla.  I've made 2 cards for this challenge but haven't decided which one to enter.  I think the glitter on the dahlia may not show well in a photo so will probably enter the "celebrate" one.

The Card Concept challenge was to make a "baby" card.  Since there are six categories for different card styles in this challenge, I still have to work out where mine fits.  Perhaps "classy & elegant" for the pink one. Lots of bits on this one but I'm happy with the result.

I have 2 more but will need another post to link one of them.
