Another for The Friday Mashup - different sketch this time.

I worked with the same theme as the previous post (from The Friday Mashup) but used the sketch from Pals Paper Arts.  Here's my take.

Friday Mashup and CAS

The Friday Mashup challenge combined "Baby Theme" and "brown, aqua and tangerine".  I also used the sketch from CAS.

Here's my card.  Unfortunately, I've just discovered that I didn't put the sentiment in the right place!   I really haven't done it very well at all.  That will teach me to make rough copies to work with.

Third Time Lucky??

The colours from Color Throwdown and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches tempted me this time.

Here's my attempt.  I haven't done any colouring for a while so I really enjoyed using the Bordering on Romance stamps and my markers.

Hope you like the card.  The layered flower doesn't show very well.

Thanks for looking.

Second time today

Three great challenges to inspire me!

  • The Card Concept - theme "love".  I was inspired by the theme of course - and the hearts.  Category?  Classy & Elegant?

 And here's my card.

Running late again

I wanted to put something in for Nacho Averages Sketch Challenge.

Here is my effort.  Colours are sahara sand, hello honey and blackberry bliss.

 Thanks for looking.

Happy Australia Day!

Nearly out of time!

My first time with a card for 52cct - a Christmas card challenge.  The theme is "bells".  I made this earlier, but forgot to upload - I have 1 hour left to enter!  Oh, the pressure!!!

The dry embossing has been inked over with white.  The "ribbon" under the sentiment doesn't show very well.  Stickles used on berries.  The card reminds me of those around MANY years ago.

Thanks for looking.

Entry for CAS

The CAS - Colours and Sketches palette was cherry cobbler, crumb cake, black & white.
In my card, the back ground is embossed with black glitter powder.  The flower uses a Heartfelt Creations stamp which is coloured with Blendabilities and sprayed with Perfect Pearls.

Thanks for looking.

Third time today!

This card is for:
  • The Card Concept - I was inspired by the anniversary theme & the stripes.  I think the card is in the category "classy & elegant"

  • Colour Me - colour challenge using pacific point and real red

Thanks for visiting.

I'm on a roll

This entry is for 'Tis the Season.  A colour challenge - I wasn't quite sure of the colours required so I used calypso coral, island indigo and gold.

I love the confetti stars border punch!  It's interesting to be making a Christmas card at this stage of the year.

Great to be back cardmaking

After a month away and some settling in back home time, it's time to join the world of challenges again.  Some great challenges this week.  I've been able to make a card which fits 3 challenges so that's a bonus.  I love the colour selection from Nacho Averages (marina mist, hello honey and old olive), Friday Mashup suggested triple-layer stamping & floral, while The Paper Players wanted focus on the sentiment.

This is my take:

The sentiment is from Verve stamps and the flowers/leaves are SU Stippled Blossoms.

Hope you like it.

I guess I'll be looking at some more challenges over the next 2 weeks as The Australian Open Tennis is on and I don't move too far away from the TV at this time.  Who knows, I may be able to pick up some hints to use on the court with my senior friends!
