My entry for the Colour Me challenge uses a couple of my favourite dies. I spent quite a long time cutting out the flower and replacing the middle white bits, then realised it doesn't really show and I could have just done the diecut in red! Oh well - in person, I think it looks better this way. That's my story anyway!
The first card I made using the colours from the CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge didn't have white space so I made another one, but I'll show both here.
A sketch and/or theme challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. I combined both, but my use of silver card made it very difficult to photograph - I kept getting the reflection of my hand or phone in the picture! The printed paper (a drawer liner I discovered when cleaning out the linen cupboard) was embellished with glitter and gelatos, but the gelatos don't show well.
The theme is BABY
I've put in 2 photos, but neither is very good. Thanks for looking.
It's good to be back cardmaking and, at last, I'm happy with my entry for these 2 challenges - colours from Color Throwdown and sketch from Freshly Made Sketches
Life seems to have been very busy lately - little time for cardmaking, but it's nice to join a challenge or two again. My card is an entry in Nacho Averages colour challenge and Less is More - a new challenge to me.
The second challenge required stencilling and lots of white space. The feathers were each stencilled then two of them were stamped over.
Thanks for looking. Hooray - I was equal winner with this one at Nacho Averages.
The Male Room Challenge. Here's the card. Unfortunately, I'm not managing to get very clear photos on my new phone. Hopefully I'll learn to drive it soon.
My first card today combines the theme from The Paper Players (transportation), the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the colours from CAS Colours & Sketches. I know sketches can be interpreted fairly liberally, but I'm not sure if I've gone a bit too far away with this one. Anyway, here's my card.
Significant snow on Mt Wellington today. Winter's come early to Tasmania. The weatherman assures us this is not an indication of a colder than usual winter. Queensland tourists very excited to see the snow. So pretty! Good cardmaking weather so I've made a card combining the requirements of 3 challenges. Nacho Averages Challenge provided the colour inspiration Try Stampin' - Or Not gave the sketch
This is an entry for The Friday Mashup. I used Stippled Blossoms which is retiring this year. I'm very glad I have it; it's a beautiful, versatile stamp. Thanks for looking.
